About 20 years ago I was climbing the corporate ladder and realized that my "Work Life Balance" was no longer in balance. I was either at work working or at home working with little or no time to enjoy my husband, kids or life.
So, I convinced Clay to be a stay at home dad....to cook, clean and take care of our boys while I made the money. That way when I was home we could really enjoy our family and life. All was going great, but Clay was a little bored, so I said, “Why don't you mow a few yards for "Green Fee" money and play a little golf?”
Well, that’s where it all started. He started mowing a few yards in our neighborhood either by walking or out of the back of his Nissan Maxima car. The business quickly grew and we started to realize that we could make a small business out of it and I could change careers and get out of the rat race.
So we downsized our house, paid off all of our bills and began the process of building what is now "Clay's Clippers Landscape Creations Inc." I left the corporate world and went back to college to get a degree in "Horticulture" with a specialty in Landscape Design. It was been an amazing journey that has completely changed our family and the world we live in. We now have three crews and 8-10 full-time employees, including ourselves.
We get the honor and privilege of helping to make the world better and prettier, one house at a time. We Design, Install and Maintain Landscaping that both we and our clients can be proud of. We enable them to bring their vision to life and make their worlds a little easier to love and manage. I like to think that we are changing the way they live and love.
It has been 19+ years and we feel blessed every day!
